Only 2 followups.... When you try To fix the cause of the copy html issue, perhaps look Into multi select and right click copy as well? And as a sidenote, your pasted version in looks far better than what a pspp output look like. Fredrik. I tested and I get the same results under Windows, using Office 2007 and Office 2010. It seems to copy tables in PSPP and then paste in Office, it only recognizes the formats of "plain text" or "unicode text" and therefore lost the format (may be wrong) because usually text copy to clipboard in HTML format. Attached is a picture that shows how a table is common copying Office ( unicode text) and how it should look (html). The table in HTML format it succeeds on importing PSPP output in HTML format into another Excel file. Usually, I have no problem using Libreoffice as I automatically detects the format of the tables. However, I will do some tests to identify the problem and if necessary make a bug report. My background is in the commercial world, and if we do an operation say 50 times a day, we can't manually edit the output in Excel for every export to make it look descent when the alternative software does this automatically. To make it difficult for users to get there is really not best practice and it will effectively hinder any commercial adoption at all. I believe this is the reason why R is so widely used in the academic world but not in the commercial world because there is output constraints.... I can't really tell how much work it would be to make the output look descent, I'm just saying that it's a dealbreaker for me and most likely many like me.
