Forgive me if this has been covered already, but I thought it might be
interesting.
I asked Redhat's Distribution Manager, Chris Gillespie, when we could
expect to see Redhat8 in stores like CompUSA and Best Buy. Here's his
surprisingly prompt reply:
"Red Hat Linux 8.0 will be available at CompUSA sometime this week.
The product shipped to the CompUSA stores last friday. It should
arrive sometime during mid-week."
I'm still wondering why it was made available as a free download
*first*, but then I'm just a geek, not a marketing wizard.
