Hi,
Does anyone have any experience analyzing wireless networks? I'm trying to get Ethereal, Airsnort, or Kismet to work. I haven't had a lot of luck with any of them. I cannot get Ethereal to display the 802.11 packets, I cannot get Airsnort to compile, I get make errors, and Kismet refuses to start giving me some errors. I've tried to install pcmcia drivers and other stuff ( I will provide details to anyone who responds). Thank you in advance for your help.
Jeremy

I don't know how to remain in a thread in the list, so I guess I'm going
to start a new one. I believe I am using a prism card as well (that's
cisco right?) So you had to recompile ethereal? You can't use the one
already installed? Well I guess I'll try it. Couldn't hurt at this
point. If there is any other things I should know about, please let me
know. Thanks, Jeremy Message: 11 Date: Sat, 19 Oct 2002 18:13:44 -0400

[EMAIL PROTECTED] What kind of wireless card do you have? I am
using a prism based card. I had to compile the linux-wlan drivers. I
also had to compile a custom libpcap with the wireless patch as per the
ethereal FAQ and compile a new Ethereal using the new libpcap. Once I
did that, I could analyze my wireless network. Marc. On Sat, 2002-10-19
