Determining i386 or i686

When downloading/installing RPMs from www.rpmfind.net , they are listed as the Arch being i386 and i686. This is what my system gives by use of uname: #uname –m i686 #uname –p i686 #uname –i i386   To determine which package to get, which uname command do I use?  What is my Arch?   -Channon
