I'm on an iBook G3 running OSX 10.1.5, connecting wirelessly
through a Linksys BEFW11S4 ver.2 router, and running pine on Lserv.com
in California from a DSL connection in Virginia.
I also have a desktop connected by an ethernet cable to the same
router.
But when I try to configure the RH 8.0 hard drive on my desktop,
using the Internet Configuration Wizard, I get to where ping 192.168.1.1
works with 0% loss -- but trying to connect a browser to
http://192.168.1.1 gets a message saying "The connection was refused
when attempting to contact 192.168.1.1"
I have my own SSID and password set on the router -- which may
be part of the problem -- but the browser does not get asked for either.
