Interesting question! I don't have PT in front of me to test, but would routing the output of the track you're scrubbing to a bus, then recording onto a new track which has that same bus number set as its input work here? If scrubbing doesn't get sent through the track output, you might have to resort to the old fashioned way of sending the noise down an actual cable... what a novelty.
