Hi:
Well, I went ahead and installed pt9 on win 7. I wanted to see if I could save for example an ivory preset as a pro tools preset and then import it into the mac version. Since I can use the jaws cursor on the windows pt, I am able to get around in the plug/in ui for stuff that is not accessible with VO. It works. I created a session on windows with an instrument track and inserted ivory (finding the insert points on the track strip was a bit of a pita but there are tool tips and if you turn off other stuff you'll get one to use.) Once I inserted ivory, I was able to get around on it to load a factory setup of one of their grands, which played on the windows system fine. I then saved that as a pt preset and then exported it. Then on the mac side I copied the saved preset over the network to a folder I created and imported it into pt9 and it plays. So I should be able to create gpo setups like this, which would be really cool, as well as trillion and drum kit superior stuff.

Awesome. I've got my Pro Tools 8 dissks, so I'll try to install it from there and see if I can get it working in stand alone mode.
