oh, wow.

I'd imagine though this isn't the list really to talk about this kind a thing, just in general yes or no, I'd imagine Outspoken compared to Voiceover was probably attrocious! I mean, ok, for it's time and what it was it was probably great, but compared to what we have now...

It's amazing! to think just in 20 years how far we've come!

Chris.

Yes, but it was only accessible up until Pro Tools required OS X at version 6 and there was no such thing as VoiceOver yet. In other words, there was a dry spell where you absolutely had to stay on version 5 with outSPOKEN. That is, until version 8.0.4 came out.

I thought PT was accessible even before that. OK, granted, you had to use Outspoken...

Am I remembering wrong?

Yep, version 8.0.4 is the first. Anyone with 8 could upgrade for free to all versions of 8.x.

If i Remember correctly, accessibility wasn't until version 8.04 and up right?

8 is indeed accessible. There are really no noticeable differences between 8 and 9 for accessibility. However, the advantage that 9 offers is the ability to use Pro TOols with any audio device.
