I'm on Lion with PT 8.4, VO didn't do a thing, I got a couple values to change,
but it seemed to be hit and mis, as I paged back and forth on the control
surface, turning pots left and right. between the possibility of 2 or three
pages with 8 pots that's 24 possibilities for maybe two settings to even budge,
I gave it up.

All the izotope plugins I tested are completely accessible. My main
set of plugins are the RX2. They work very nice with vo. Ofcourse, into there
is a 6 band EQ that is stricty limited in my opinion. Did you try Ozone?

Thanks bro. I have looked into them and was thinking about them,
but just don't want to put out the dollor right now unless I can get a good
rate of accessibility. I was just messing with my Sonar and was so encouraged
when I went to my waves plugs and began to tweek every setting right from the
keyboard it was like a breath of fresh air after putting myself through the Pro
Tool paces over the last couple weeks, I hope I can get the same kind of
control with some more RTAS plugs in Pro Tools as I have in Sonar on the PC.

I am looking for some warmer EQ plugs and some more
tweequable compressors, such as multiband that are as tweekable as the PT
native RTAS plugs. I am only able to get to about a quarter of my Waves
settings plugin settings with my surfase and it is killing me, not to mintion
very time consuming. Any suggestions or opinions would be greatly appreciated.
The world of VST plugs is so much more flexable and I am getting a little hung
up on my mixing limitations.
PS, thanks so much Chuck for the waves Presets, they have
defanitly helped.
