Hey Slau:
Well, I certainly can relate to your situation. I really haven't been nearly
as active with Cakewalk as I used to be. Fortunately, we have a choice of
several options now. THough none of them are perfect, they all have their good
points. I find myself switching between different daw software and screen
readers/operating systems depending on the situation. I hope that avid will
not forget us. They really haven't done much more with Sibelius since that
initial effort on the part of one of their former developers. And with the new
plug-in format of pro tools, we're losing something. I will say that my friend
up in Jersey who I do a lot of tracking for hates pt 11, and he's sighted. I
just wish I'd never gone to Mountain lion with the loss of numeric output in
so many places.
So thanks so much for what you've done, we wouldn't have it at all if it
weren't for what you've done. BTW, I have outspoken working quite well now on
my g3 with the synclavier software, though there doesn't seem to be a way to
have it automatically read highlighted text. I always have to hit option find
to see where I'm at, but that's not too bad.
