Hi, To mix down first make sure everything like your levels on each track are set the way you wish and your stereo panning nobs are set properly. Also, if you are using any plugins make sure when you play the session you can hear the effects. When you are ready to bounce do command plus option plus b. You will have to listen to the entire session as it bounces if you are using pro tools 10 or earlier as it does not have the ability like cakewalk's products to do off line bouncing. This is why I am going to upgrade to pro tools 11 when the next version comes out I plan to just take my mac book pro 17 inch model late 2011 to the Guitar Center and have them do the upgrade for me as they even told me they would allow me to look at a pro tools 11 system in full operation to see how usable it was with voiceover and told me to do this before I buy it as once I buy it they don't think I can get a refund. Is it ok on this list to mention places for buying pro tools or is that something I should avoid as they have been helpful at the store with my buying options? Nick Gawronski

Hello All,

I'll be installing Pro Tools and have a few get starting questions.

I know how to setup a track, arming recording ETC but how does one mix down
saving to .MP3/AIFF ETC?

If someone living in the US wouldn't mind I would like to either call or
Skype so I don't sound too stupid on the list because I'm sure I'll have
more questions. smile
