I believe that if anyone uses the 003 with PT 11 they need to replace the
digi audio core maniger with a new Digi family core driver, or some name
like that.

From what I recall, I don't think you need to install any specific driver
for the 003 but the instructions will verify that. I do remember a special
driver that was required at some point but I think it was for a very special
circumstance with multiple versions of Pro Tools other than 10 and 11.
Yes, the 003 is a little misleading with its tiers of back panels concealing
lower sections. In a way, it's kind of nice but a bit confusing at first.
