In DAWS like Reaper and Samplitude, whin you split a piece of audio into its
own clip as its known in pro tools you can not only adjust the clips gain, but
also the panning of the clip add effects nondestructively, etc etc. Basically
anything you can do to a track you can do to a clip from the clip properties
dialog. In Pt if i would want to adjust the panning of say the Piano to be only
on the left during the verses and centered during the chorus, I'd would have to
use automation to achieve this. In Reaper or Samplitude, I can just select the
piano track in the verse, split into a new clip or region and adjust the pan
for that audio. So was wondering since PT had clip gain, if you could also
adjust the pan of the clip as well. Auto panniers like the ST stuff sounds like
a worthy work around though can u non destructively add an effect to a clip in
PT? I was under the impression that would be destructive editing.

Thanks,
