Hi Chris,

Thanks for your suggestion re the control surface. Unfortunately the Mackie Control Pro is out of my price range (nearly £1000 with the behringer at £219) - however, it's an option to consider for the future. I wasn't aware the behringer had that issue, so you've saved me possible future frustration - so thanks :)

I'm still looking into interfaces; perhaps I may end up going with a hardware mixer that doubles as a control surface

Hi Ashley. Welcome aboard.

I can't speak to the accessibility of ProTools as I haven't yet made the switch, but if you can afford it, I would go for the Mackie Control Pro instead of the Behringer if possible. The Mackie is better made, has more dedicated buttons, and the motorized faders behave better. ON the Behringer, if a fader starts moving as your track plays, you can't stop it by touching it. If you grab it to stop it from moving, as soon as you let go, it continues to wherever it was trying to go originally. On the Mackie unit, if you touch a fader while it is moving, it stops and stays where you leave it. I hope that makes some sense.

Hi All,
I'm new on this list - so firstly, hi! I hope to learn many things here as well as help out myself, where possible.

I'm considering picking up ProTools 11 with the Avid Eleven Rack and a Behringer BCF-2000 control surface. I was wondering what is the overall status of ProTools 11 accessibility? I read some posts here regarding the PT11 betas, but that was obviously pre-release software.

What's the status of ProTools 11 accessibility, as of the latest update? What can and can't be done? Is there anything that inhibits a users ability to use PT11?
Using mavericks.

Thanks for any and all help,
Ashley
