Sorry for being a nuisance but, I did as you said and copied it in to alias applications and still nothing. Funnily enough, I tried opening Protools 10.3.8 and that isn't opening properly either.
When I get pro tools 11 open it says unknown.

Thank you,

Trevor

Pro TOols 11 is not an installer like previous versions but a .app
file. simply copy it and paste it into the applications alius in that
folder to put into your macs application folder then you can launch
it like you can any other app on your mac.

I rang Avid this morning and the lady there registered my pro tools 11, so I
went to avid.com logged in and went to my account.
Clicked on products I own and pro tools 11.1.3 is there so I clicked on show
and downloaded it.
So far so good.
Then I went to my downloads and opened the pro tools 11.1.3.
There were six things inside.
pro tools application, alias, documents, drivers and I can't remember the
other things.
I opened pro tools application and got the message about it being downloaded
from the internet and did I want to open it, and I did.
Then the only things on the screen wer, close, minimize, maximize and
unknown, and I was stuck.
There was nothing about installation anywhere.
Can anyone help and tell me where I went wrong please?

Thank you,

Trevor
