Hi guys. well yesterday was an interesting day. I ran my first session in protools with on of my clients. It went very well. I do have a question ant it comes back to monitoring.
how do i communicate with my tallent when i am playing the track. Here is the go. I make a recording.we then e need to do vocal overdubs, or guitar overdubs or what ever. now from what i can see, the the way the monitoring is set up, i can only hear the input sauce, when the transport is either stopped or recording. So how can i communicate with my tallent who is in the next room while the track is playing. Yesterday, the only problem was if she wanted to talk to me she had to wait until i stopped playback. this is because when i hit play i don’t hear what is coming in, only the output. . . I am not using an external mixer, i am running through the motu 896 interface. Is there a way in tools of playing the track and also monitoring an input sauce at the same time.
