Hi, Yes I am looking in the edit window for this button as I remember seeing it there under pro tools 10.0 under lion but never messed with it. I am not seeing it and am not able to interact with the tracks. I have one track but in pro tools 10 under lion I was able to interact with each track should I go back to lion and see if I can find it or should I continue to use 10.10? Nick Gawronski

Nick,

The place where you select "waveform" as the display is not in the Mix window.
It's in the Edit window.

Hi, Yes I looked in there and can't locate it using either 10.9 or 10.10 I
looked in the track itself where you find the sends and solo buttons. I tried
different versions of pro tools both 10 and 11 to see if the issue is across
pro tools versions and yes the issue is existing with both versions. What I
was thinking of doing was just trashing the session and recreating the session
with the newly imported files what should I make sure is checked or not checked
when creating the session as I have not had this issue before I upgraded to
10.10 and installed the latest versions of pro tools 10 and 11? Nick Gawronski

This isn’t in the trackless table, but in the track headers them selves. The
place you would go to add inserts or sends or arm the track or see the meters
etc. You would have to interact with one of the tracks to do this.

Hi, I am running OS X 10.10 and I am able to see the track list table but
not this view button but in earlier versions of OS X I remember this
button. I have also had to use the mouse click commands to do most
everything in pro tools 11 which I don't mind doing but when I can't find
the proper button this mouse thing won't work. Would downgrading to 10.9
be the best thing as I just downloaded and installed the latest version of
pro tools from my Avid account? Nick Gawronski

Nick,
A few things to try,
If you’ve set tracks to elastic audio
accidentally, go to the edit window, interact with a track, V-O Right arrow
to the track view selector button . Make sure it is set to waveform view.
if you set this to warp view or something it will act this way. You should
V-O-shift-M on the track view selector so when you change one track to
waveform it will change all of them…

Also if you hadn’t done this,
Go Menu/option/ make sure Link Timeline and edit selection, and link
track and edit selection are checked…. This can also be the root of your
problem. Hope this helps

Hi, I had someone sited look at the screen and it looks like I am not
in the wave view but in the list of tracks. I am not sure how I changed
out of that view but what do I need to do to get back into this view
using voiceover? The person who looked at the system knows nothing
about pro tools but I wanted them to tell me what was on the screen so I
would know what was going on as when I hit delete nothing is getting
deleted and I can't move either side of the selection. What could I
have done to change pro tools into this mode and or make it always stay
in the proper mode where normal deleting works? Nick Gawronski On Fri,

Hi, I am trying to edit a session and wish to delete the click of the
record button. When I select the click and hit delete nothing is
deleted and I am not able to use either + or - to move the start or
the end of the selection. What settings should I look at checking to
see if things are setup properly? Also, one bug I found is the import
radio buttons are not properly labeled so I had to play around with
that dialog before I was able to import the file I am working on to a
new track is this the proper place to report bugs like this or is
there a support page from Avid where I should report these bugs at?
