OK guys, I have had to reformat due to reasons beyond my control.
I know that Slau told me once how to fix this, and his suggested worked perfectly. I just don't remember what the hell to do! Basically, I've recorded a mono audio track. I then inserted the BF76 compressor on the track's insert A. I set my output parameter where I wanted it. I think I wound up cranking it to around -11DB. By default before I moved it, it was on -17. It played just fine, but as soon as I hit return to go to the beginning of my session, then hit space to start playing, all my parameters get reset, meaning in this case, the output gain goes back to -17 where it was to start with. I can't get it to stick. I thought it was either something in the ProTools preferences that I had to change, or maybe something globally within all plugins but I just cannot seem for the life of me to recall what. I'm hopeing one of you can remind me what we have to change to get it to quit doing this! I've looked through all the settings that I know to look at. It's one a these things, I know it's right under my nose, but I just can't seem to find it. Thank you so much for the help! I very very much appreciate it!
