So, I know we’ve done this lots before, but I’m back to thinking about
control surfaces. I really can’t work effectively without being able to
automate plugins with a control surface, and I really don’t want to abandon
ProTools, given that I’m getting pretty clued up about it, and I work
pretty quickly with it. So, I was thinking about the Artist Mix. I know it
doesn’t have transport buttons, which is a bit irritating, however I wonder
if I am able to use the artist Mix with my BCF control surface, then I
could use the BCF2000 as a transport control surface, and maybe even use it
for fader and pan automation, and I can use my Artist Mix for pluguin
automation. Does that sound plausible? Also, is it easy enough to choose
what the faders and knobs automate. In other words, is choosing what the
faders do, and what plugin controls easy to achieve with VoiceOver and PT?

Your thoughts are very welcome.
