Yep, I saw the previous message and somehow must have inadvertently deleted
it. Thanks, Steve.
Chris, you might want to visit iLok. com and read through their fAQ which
explains this stuff and the manual further clarifies things. Once you've
read through it, it'll make more sense.

I’ll take a shot in the dark here and assume he just had his edirol
HandHeld recorder on a surface in-between him and the computer so it could
pick up his voice and voiceover. Then he imported the wav into pro tools
and edited. If someone doesn’t have a hand held recorder however i can’t
imagine going through the hassles of routing patch cables and going from
analog to digital and back just to record a demo such as this when you
could easily capture it all by launching a second app and not having to do
much else. Just my two sense.
To answer the other question,
The Ilok license manager allows you to transfer licenses on and off the
iLok
so you aren’t stuck with licenses on the iLok Just transfer off the ones
you don’t want on there back to your account.

I'd suspect, knowing Slau, he'd probably have the stuff to just route
manually with patch cords his mac through the recording. Remember, this
is Slau we're talking here. This guy knows his stuff!

If you would like to record demos like this you can also use apps like
Audio Hijack and its little brother Piezo. Quicktime is a good free
alternative but you may have to get fancy with stuff like SoundFlower and
or line in (both also free) to capture VO as well.

Hi, Wonderful audio demo! One question is how did you record this demo
like what software and hardware were you using and for those of us who
are
use to mp3 what is the m4a format and how is it different? Nick

Well, folks, it's finally here. Go to iLok.com to download version 2.6
which is fully accessible on the Mac. I've done an audio quick start

which was recorded a few days ago. I'll be recording a new one with
some
updated information and corrections but this version is still pretty
much
99% accurate. You can grab it from the following link:
