Hey Cam,
Do you have any friends who can help you make some absorption
pannels? You'd buy some fiberglass, some plywood, and some
breatheable fabric. Basically, the fiberglass gets attached to the
wood, the fabric goes over top to stop little fibers from floating
around and irritating your eyes and such, and you hang them where you
need them like picture frames. Go for two inches thick, and you'll
get even more absorption if you can stand them off from the wall
somehow so there's an inch or so air gap between the back of the
pannel and the wall.
DIY can be significantly cheaper than the pre-made products.
I'm personally not a fan of the foam products from Auralex and similar.
