Hi Peter,
As I recall, in version 10 it wasn't possible to check the value, per se. What
you can certainly do is, after clicking the button, you can type the nudge
value you want. For example, assuming you're in minutes and seconds, after
clicking the button, you can type zero, decimal, one and Enter on the numeric
keypad. This will make the nudge value 1 second. From there, you can use
Command-Option-plus or minus on the num pad to cycle through the preset nudge
values which don't wrap. The default values are:
one second, five hundred milliseconds, one hundred milliseconds, ten
milliseconds and one millisecond. If you're in Bars and beats, it's:
a whole note, a half note, a quarter note, an eighth note, a sixteenth note,
and a thirty-second note. These are displayed as tick values, of course.
It's been years since I've used version 10 so I don't recall if one of the
buttons in the Edit window allows you to switch between minutes and seconds and
bars and beats but I'm pretty sure there's a way to make that distinction and,
knowing what the parameters are, one can type the nudge value at the outset and
change it with the keyboard shortcuts mentioned above.
Hope that helps,
Slau
