Oh I certainly understand that this was just a
quick overview sort of thing. I guess I should have presented it as an
additional feature. I did learn about that command H thing. I was running
into that problem of the table not updating. And the filter is also handy.
When I am playing a piano part, I often am constantly pressing and releasing
the sustain pedal, a throwback to my classical training I guess.

Hi Gord,

Yes, that’s correct but I couldn’t possibly cover everything and this was not
any sort of official tutorial. It was simply a basic run-through as per a
request by Jason Dasent on how to use the MIDI Event List. Thanks for pointing
that out for others. Cheers,
Slau

Slau, I’m surprised you didn’t point out that it is
possible to select noncontiguous events. If I’ve made a few flubs and want to
delete them, I can select those noncontiguous events just like we can select
tracks in the table. I’ve never tired it, but it might be possible to set a
bunch of notes to the same velocity or length that way.

A bunch of people have asked about this not too long ago and a few more
recently as well. I’ve put together a little demo of editing using primarily
the MIDI Event List. As always, please feel free to save it so that, when
others ask, there might be a few copies circulating amongst the list.
