Hi Chuck, I have been having the issue of the hot spots failing for several versions of the Mac OS. I have just gotten use to resetting the hot spots manually over and over. It takes me just about as long to reset all 10 manually, as it does trying to unload Voiceover, exiting Pro Tools, etc., etc.
I have tried to speak with someone in Apple that has some kind of a working knowledge, but as nice as Apple tech-support people are, very few of any questions are resolved via their help. I’ve noticed if I manually switch the screen back and forth from the edit or to mix view where I had originally created the spots, miraculously, they will sometime come back to life even after Voiceover reports that the hot spot no longer exists. In past oS versions, they use to successfully switch screen fairly well. I think this is also directly related to the tracking issue that Slau also mentioned. The failing tracking issue has become a real PITA having to continually reorient back to where we were previously working. Again, this also use to work fairly well in previous OS versions. On the issue someone brought up about entering beginning and end points, no one seemed to mention that you need to be in the Edit screen for the slash key to work. Just my two cents! Grin.
