Hi, Another feature that is great for such situations, is to make a selection and change the gain for that portion of the track by holding down control-shift and use up/down arrow keys. the amount of change for each arrow key press is set in the preferences. If you change the overall level of the fader, you will still see the same amount of relative change in the track volume, since the actual gain of that part of the track is changed. It really works great! :)
