Hi Lory,
You clearly go to amazing parties.
Seriously thanks for the magic keyboard information.
While I cannot help directly with the pro tools to speech situation, I use
the program differently from many here, I may have a pdf suggestion.
robobraille,
www.robobraille.org
will convert pdf files into a number of different formats by sending the
file to them via e-mail.
conv...@robobraille.org
you simply place your desired format in the subject line, say rtf, attach
the pdf file, and the file is returned to you.
that may help with the files.
I have been meaning to ask my friend Jeff Towne who writes things
at transom if his pro tools materials are still available.
Radio producers prefer using the keyboard for everything in general, so Jeff
teaches pro tools at university based on this method.
will see what I can find out and post here.

Hi Kare,
It is a magic keyboard, magic keyboard 2 I believe. So far it works great,
haven't tried pro tools with it yet though. It hs all the keys like the number
pad and the 6pack of keys with the function, home, page up, delete, end, page
down keys. I was told it could work with either a phone or mac, witch is pretty
nice. I can't tell you how much it cost or anything as I was just talking to
somebody at a party who managed to score me one somehow for free from a friend
and have it brought to me within a few hours, bring airpods too witch are quite
high quality as well.
Since the pro tools with speech site is down though, are there any other
tutoriels I can listen to or read anywhere to help me learn pro tools? I'd like
to start as soon as I can, and I didn't find the pdf manuals from avid very
helpful mostly because of the way voiceover reads pdfs in that weird ay that is
unlike anything else in preview.

I don’t see why it wouldn’t so long as you got the number pad.

Hey everyone, I just received a full size wireless keyboard from a friend. Its
pretty cool so far. I’m just making sure that it’ll work fine with pro tools?
It has the number pad and everything, so it should, but I remember hearing
before that many people preferred using usb but is that just preference?
