Oh, I absolutely am using USB, as I have nothing else. <grin>. I had temporarily forgotten what "Port 1" and "Port 2" signified. In other DAW's I see choices like "DAW-1" and "DAW" without the 1, and they mean different things, one of which is transport controls, which of course do not apply in PT.

Ah, why not simply use the USB port? It's far easier.

While I was awaiting a reply, I tried what sounded logical for the output issue, and
it matches your answer. My other problem, which has been solved, was which of the
Komplete Kontrol devices to choose in the send-to and receive-from fields in Setup
-> Peripherals -> MIDI Control tab.

If you're talking about the Input Devices dialog, all 3 can be enabled.
As an instrument track does not require an audio input, the output should
automatically be assigned to the default output on the interface, usually out
1-2, stereo out, A1-2 or whatever the naming protocol happens to be for that
interface.

Two question:

1. Which of the three KK ports should be checked--DAW-1,Port1, Port2?

2. When adding KK as an instrument on an instrument track, the inputs and
outputs come up set to no in, no out. Of course, there's no in, but should the
output be changed to that of the connected audio interface?

TIA
