Hi jimmie, Let me make it easy for you. Make a selection in the transport, say a 8 bar selection. Now with that track selected you want to extend like you said the kick drum for example, hit "option r" for the repeat dialogue. Now punch in the number 1 in the how many times you want to repeat then hit ok or just hit return and bang! You now have 16 bars of that kick!
