I had to hold off on Catalina until after NAMM and an orchestral recording I just completed and will probably upgrade this coming week some time. It makes no difference whether you update Pro Tools under Mojave or under Catalina. Experience should be virtually the same. You might discover you have some 32-bit applications on your system that won't work. Any issues that arise will likely have more to do with third-party software than Pro Tools itself. I'm holding off on the studio system for a couple of weeks until I have a few straight days with no sessions but the laptop will be upgraded sooner. Most of all, I look forward to the new VOCR :)

Hi guys. ok. well i’m thinking about taking the plunge and upgrading to catalina. should I upgrade protools to the latest version before installing catalina. that worked for me last time with mojave. Just making sure this is still the best way of going about this.

Also what are your thoughts on the stability of protools on catalina and are there any advantages in upgrading. I was not really sold on PT on hi sera  and have be very happy with protools under mojave. Is it there as yet or should I wait a while
