I left avid a long time ago, so cant't help you with that, unfortunately. 
Nonetheless, if you wanted to beta test, make a separate apfs volume, and 
install the beta of mac sonoma, and test it out. Since its a separate apfs 
volume, nothing will happen to your main volume, and you can test without 
ishues.
