Hi, so I was in the studio recently wen the call came through that a band
wanted the raw multitracks for their album to be mixed. They'd recorded the
entire album in 1 PT session, and done all their drum edits and things
already.
Songs were tempo mapped, and I knew where each song started on the timeline
but the clip list was very messy because like I say they'd already done
their edits and consolidated.
I was wondering if there was a way to get PT to spit out the raw
multitracks for each of the songs on the album without having to get
somebody to do it visually?
I know when I've worked with people before they did it by highlighting the
tracks and hitting CMD shift K, but I'm not sure how to get that to
translate to a VO user.
I was unable to get the files myself but was saved as they weren't there in
person for another hour so I managed to call another engineer in and get
them out, and the band were very understanding when I told them to the
point where they let me take a copy of the session from the studio system
to mess with at home to see if I could come up with a solution.
If anybody has any suggestions I'd really appreciate them.
