Got it sorted now. We had to rebuild the plug in presets in tools. Some sort of
corruption in the preset settings. But working well now. New protools is great.
Very happy I updated.

Hey, thanks Slau.
Yeah, actually after further investigation I think there is a problem with the
plug in window in tools on my system.
I've got my wife Karen to have a look at the screne. There are no plug in
presets available to choose from. When I try to sav a setting with save as, as
I have always done, it is not a a valable to find on screne, or with voice
over. all I have to choose from is the one setting. The one factory defalt
setting.
So unless you have further ideas, I think it is a problem in my set up.
My mac is an old one, I'm running Monterey 12.75. That's the latest OS I can
put on this mac.
I've got the current version of PT, according to avid, it is complient with
Monterey.
Don't worry mate. I think it's an issue I'll need to sort. I've trashed the
;preferences in tools. With PT prefs. But they didn't want to trash. So weard
stuff happening with this thing.
Fun and games. Lol
Steve

Hi steve,

there never was a problem with factory presets in Pro Tools so I’m not sure
what you’re thinking of. In the case of saving your own presets, you’d need to
choose “Save As…” from the Settings menu. If you haven’t saved any prior and,
if there aren’t any factory presets, Pro Tools will create a folder in your
Documents/Pro Tools/Plug-in Settings folder and will take on the name of the
plug-in. Occasionally the manufacturer name precedes the plug-in name and
sometimes it doesn’t. You can either double-tap VO+f2 and look at the Plug-in
window’s title or, alternatively, you can sort your Plug-in Settings folder by
date. To do this, focus on the folder and press Control+Option+Command+4. By
default, the newest item will be at the top of the list and that should be the
folder where you saved a new preset.

Hope that helps,
Slau
