Building implies maintenance (analogy of seduction vs. marriage comes to mind)
the hot spot hosts are bar/cafe/restaurant/business owners, not geeks.  They
can't be expected to maintain what they don't understand.

My "participation" has been mostly the occasional cash contribution.

Some mechanism needs to be figured out to get people involved with node care
and feeding.  That is a requirement for PTP to grow, or even continue its
existence.
