Sara, Tyler and I got the cat5 pulled through okay, yanked down the old metrix and omni antenna, got the 2.4GHz PowerStation2 working, installed a NanoStation2 for local coverage, and tested the link to the Stephouse wireless backhaul with a positive looking result. Joren and Chris showed up and we finished up on the Bakery roof, then relocated to the Commons and installed the other side of the PowerStation2 link. Chris did an outstanding job of mounting gear to boards and fixing flakey cat5 couplings. The PS-to-PS link is looking pretty good with only rough aiming. Thanks to everyone who helped out today, I am completely tickled (so far) at how well it went. In other news, PTP purchased a couple 500 gig SATA2 hard disks today to go into the new server that was donated by Intel, and I dropped off the box at Jason's for him to pimp out in anticipation of putting it in a rack at Stephouse.
