While compiling audio CD books into Daisy books using both the PTR1 and PRS as I have described before, an idea of an improvement comes to mind. If you put a PC card into your computer to make use of the folders made by backing up audio CD's, you will find the folders named "BookDir0", "BookDir1," etc. Since there is no "Title 0" on the PlexTalk, this means that the corresponding numbers of the folders and their titles are not the same, but one off. My suggestion is that the PlexTalk make the folders starting with "BookDir1". That way the title number will be the same as the folder number. Also, if the numbers below 10 are made 2 digits, such as 01 and 02, they will show up on the computer in proper order. As it is now, 10 comes between 1 and 2 and 2 would come between 19 and 20.

Another idea is in PRS when bringing up the dialog box to do a Daisy Import, and I believe it's the same for other imports. There is an edit box in which you can type in the complete pathname and file you want to import. My suggestion is that this box show the last pathname used as the default. You can still choose another if you want, but it would simplify getting the next numbered folder's file in a sequence of imports in order to compile a book. It gets pretty tedious when having to hit the button to bring up the normal looking open dialog box and then choose the next location and file you want. It can get tricky to keep track of where you were last and it takes lots of extra keystrokes. I found I could do sort of what I am talking about by copying the pathname in the initial dialog box's edit box to the clipboard after having chosen the first one. When I want the next one, I paste that pathname into the edit box and edit it to the next higher numbered folder. If the last used pathname came up as the default, it could save lots of keystrokes and help you keep track of where you are in a series of imports.

One other thing is that I have to keep using the computer to find out if the disk I am about to use is a CDR or CDRW. Isn't there some way to find out the disk properties with the PlexTalk. After all, we can't just read the label on the CD, can we?

Thanks for your time!
Marilyn
