Dale,

You need a particular type of PTR battery, which I'm thinking is a
propriatary type. The batteries are relatively weak since they only hold a
charge for about 3-4 hours. I don't know about external charging, but I do
not believe so unless there is a hub of somekind that charges multiple
batteries of which I am not aware of.
