Hello everyone,
I've noticed something strange when trying to copy Daisy cds to my hard
drive on my computer.
I've created recordings on my PTR1, recording directly onto my SD512 MB
flash card.
I was able to backup each of these "titles" as they were created onto a CD.
I made 3 CDs in this manner over a week's time last July.
I can review each of these cds with out a problem on the PTR1. I can also
review the card contents with out a problem on the PTR1.
The problem is though, when I connect the PTR1 to my computer via USB so it
functions like a slave CD-rom drive, my computer only recognizes one of the
CDs.
I'm using windows explorer and when I attempt to open the CD folder when one
of the other CDs that I made is inserted, I get the error: "error incorrect
function." with an "ok" button highlighted.
I get this error for 2 out of the 3 CDs that I made. All 3 of these CDs are
in daisy format. I get the same result if I use the internal CD-rom drive in
my computer or the PTR1 via USB connection.
I've tried this on both Ntel and an A M D based systems. I'm using Windows
2000 in both cases.
So far, the only thing I haven't tried to do is access the CDs in dos. I'm
going to try this, but I don't know what else might account for my computer
not recognize these CDs. I've also tried viewing the contents of these CDs
using the PRS soft ware with the same results.

The interesting thing is if I use a card reader to view the contents of my
flash card and I use a USB cable to connect the reader to my system, I can
only see 2 directories on the card. As soon as I use the down arrow to move
to the third item on the card, my system reboots. I've also used the same
methods for attempting to view the card contents in Windows explorer and the
PRS software.
I haven't yet updated my firm ware, I figured I should keep everything the
same as when I first created these recordings.
Does anyone have any ideas of anything else to try?
