A couple of PTR1 users and myself were wondering if anyone has had some hardware
problems with their unit. My friends and I have recently had to send in our units to
get them fixed because the mechanism in the internal CD drive broke. This occurred
suddenly and without any sort of damage inflicted upon the unit. One day while on a
long ride home from visiting my parents I pulled out my PTR1 to listen to a CD. The
PTR1 turned on like usual and when I put the CD up to it for it to accept it, it went
in half way at a slant. The same exact thing occurred with my friend's unit and we
were just curious if this is a common occurrence. If so then we hope that it will be
fixed in the future. I mean, with it costing as much as it does, besides the fact that
it should be able to be portable, we believe that it shouldn't run into such problems.
