Hi Dennis -

This sounds to me like a cable problem. I know some suggestions sound daft,
but have you tried a different cable from the PTR1 to your HI-FI? Also, if
the lead you are using doesn't have stereo jacks at each end, then it could
just be carrying a single channel. The fact that it's happening in 2
players, to my mind, does suggest the problem is in the lead, and not in the
players.
