Just like Kevin's message and your message below, I have brought these
issues directly to this list and directly to Mr. Nemoto's attention via
e-mail as well as Plextalk's e-mail tech support. To date, I've not received
a single acknowledgement of my suggestions usefulness or otherwise, and of
course nothing in terms of a simple: "We're working on that or we'll take
that under consideration." then again, a couple of the features of the
upcoming firmware, to my knowledge, are a result of suggestions made by
users on this list. Maybe now that we have some Plextalk people on the list
who seem to be listening closely, hopefully we'll at least receive
acknowledgement of our small yet greatly annoying PTR1 hassles. Hope this
doesn't start a slew of complaints, or should I say creative criticism.

Some of you are yet to discover that when listening to a daisy book on PC
card, I'm using the Toshiba 5 gig, the mechanism will become stuck and you
will need to pull the battery out of the unit to be able to turn it back on
and get the audio back. Hopefully you will not lose your daisy files. Just a
little warning. Don't get me wrong, being able to use the Toshiba card is
without a doubt my favorite feature of the PTR1 since I can essentially
carry a small library contained in a card the size of a credit card--really,
really neat. I just wish there were more stability in the PTR1. Again, since
my PTR1 disaster last week, and since I now have nothing to lose as my PTR1
is now at factory defaults, looking forward to what the end of July brings
us.
