It sounds a little like you might have a recording which has got very few individual phrases, or even just one large phrase. For example, if you got the recording from a busy exhibition or conference with a lot of background noise, you may find that the phrase splitting has not worked. If you have simply played forward or fast forwarded to find where you want to put in the next page or heading, you might well still be in the same phrase. Hence, when you try to apply the heading or page setting, you are trying to apply it to a phrase that actually does already have a heading or page code. What I would suggest you try is to go into Editing Play mode and navigate backwards or forwards using the forward or rewind keys. This should give you a clear indication of where the phrases start and finish. If you need info on how to switch on the Editing Play mode, give me a shout. Taking the example of pages, I can insert page one without difficulty, but then, here's what happens. I press the page key twice. PTR1 says: "Set page two; are you sure?". I press enter. PTR1 says "Page already exists". So it is impossible to set subsequent pages. Exactly the same thing happens with headings. Am I doing something wrong, or is this a bug which others can reproduce?
