Hi,

Card insertion is not the issue here. The issue here is when removing
cards, you don't know whether the OS is trying to access data on those
cards, and if it is trying to access the data, it may damage the data if
you remove the card before all operations complete. On windows, there
is an icon in the system tray, this is why the recommendation is there
to shut down the PTR1 before removing the cards, whilst you can still
remove the card before this, the onus is now on you, and you get an
audio warning.

Andrew.

Subject: flash card removal question

I know to shut down the PTR1 before either inserting or removing a flash
card. If I am using a card reader connected to my PC, do I need to be
concerned when I insert or remove my cards?
thank you
