Hi all,

1. The memory card - when you move folders around on the card, you need to
ensure that /discinfo.html is updated to reflect the changes. This is the
index that the PTR1 uses to reference the books. Some people get round this
problem by creating books on the system, which will create /BookDIR01,
/BookDIR02 ...etc, whilst also updating the /discinfo.html file. They then
copy data into those directories - after getting rid of whatever is in there
previously.

2. You can jump using the up and down arrows (2/8) to find the segments you
want to jump (i.e, phrases, levels or time), and use left/right to move through
those segments.

Andrew.

Subject: CAN SOMEONE KINDLY ASSIST

A friend has written to me with questions for another friend . . .. My
friend isn't a PTR1 user and his friend has no PC so can't join the
list. I gather, though, that she's using the latest software.

I'm sick at present and can't give this what it deserves, so can someone
help and write directly to my friend, Frank, please.

Frank writes:
Irene would like to move through titles on her memory card. I copied a
couple of folders for her using my laptop's PCMCIA card reader, but they

don't show up on her machine. However, they do when I put the card into
my
laptop.

She would like sometimes to jump to time in ten minute increments but
can't
work out how.

Many thanks for your help.
