Jamie I am not the right person to ask about these things.
I do not know the answer to your first question, but a look at the website might help. 2. To the best of my knowledge, it is a solid state card. There appear to be no moving parts. 3. It fits directly into the PTR1. I should add that I have only used the card for storing DAISY CD talking books, and it is fine for that purpose. I am sure others will be of more help to you regarding the more technical aspects. David, 3 further questions: 1. What does the "HA" in the name of the card signify? 2. Is the card you mention a solid state card with no moving parts or is it a microdrive type of device? 3. Does your card require an adaptor or does it fit directly into the PCMCIA slot? As I don't have any experience of getting one myself, I was wondering if anyone could advise on the following points: 1. What is the largest available Compact Flash card that will work with the PTR1? I have heard people talking about 5GB cards but I am not sure if this is a compact flash card or a microdrive. 2. For UK purchase, I have heard people talk about a company called Expansys (I think) - can someone please confirm that this is the correct company name and that they are a good firm to deal with. If you have a contact phone number that would also be useful. 3. Also on this list I have heard mention of the Sanddisk brand of card. Are these cards compact flash cards or some other format, or do they make a range of different types of card/microdrive?
