Hi,

As others have said it is fine to get a MMC to PCMCIA adaptor, or what
is known as a PCMCIA MMC reader. However, the PTR1 will not handle
audible files.

Subject: adaptors

We just got our ptr1. It has the pcmcia slot. I have seen reference to
adaptors. What is this? Is it an adaptor that goes into the pcmcia
slot in which one would insert a flash memory card?

ARe the adaptors sold at stores such as staples or best buys or such?
Also, I notice in the manual it gives a listing of pcmcia cards, storage
capacity and manufacturer. I would assume anything listed there is
compatible with the ptr1.

We belong to audible and have the otis player. We have a 128 multimedia
card. What we're wondering is with the adaptor could we insert this 128
multimedia card and then transfer what is on it to a cd in mp3 format?
