Hi,
Unfortunately, the timer itself will not start the record mode. It's just to
play recordings or appointment notes and things like that.
The only way you could possibly record based on a timer would be this.
Set the device you want to record from, that is if it has a timer. Then turn
on the ptr1 set it up with Detect Sound instead of press record, to start
the recording.
Personally, I don't know of many other devices that have a timer that a
blind person could use.
Quite a while back, I made as a update request, the ability to use the timer
as an on-recording timer. I think some others have also made similar
requests.

Subject: using timer to record

Hello. I figured out how to turn the timer on. How can I make it record
immediately when it comes on? It just wants to play. It seems to me that
there ought to be a way to make it record. I want to record a show while I'm
away and make it shut off at a certain time. How do I make it shut off? I
seem to remember someone saying something about the sleep timer to shut it
off before.
I sure hope someone can help me. I will greatly appreciate it.
Sharon
