Greetings, all,
I perceive the "main" (the name specifically) as being a general
purpose name that should remain useable for people writing their own tag names.
It seems to me it is likely to confuse developers who will shortly want to use
that very common "go to" name ("main") in tags without knowing a real "main"
exists in HTML as well.
Highly used general names like "main" may be too common to reserve for
this purpose. Perhaps this can be accomplished by a another, less associated,
less likely to be mis-used name, such as "page" or even "mainpage", which - not
being used in C programming - is much less likely to be selected by a
programmer beginning with web components, in whatever form they may be in use
now or in the future.
