Americans had their turn, now it is the Canadians and the Australians - ergo the gun-grabbing tactics in these countries too.

Prior to the American Revolution, the tensions between London and the east coast colonies of North America had been brewing for about 14 years before the "shot that was heard around the world" was fired at Concord and Lexington. There had been attempts for some time to end expansion and development. London had declared a "Proclamation Line" designed in 1763 by the British to separate Europeans from native peoples. It was a line running from the border between Florida and Georgia up the eastern mountains to Chaleur Bay in the Gulf of St. Lawrence. Just before the outbreak of hostilities, London had granted Land Rights to Indians (mainly Iriquois). The Iriquois Indians were to become the most ruthless of Londons allies during the revolution.
