Hi Vipul,

I've finally filled out my agenda item a bit.  Unfortunately, I had a very difficult time trying to figure out where the relevant prior work was on the Wiki.  I think I found the important Use Cases - Don & Kei's work on the NeuronDB to CocoDat connection along with the Parkinson's Use Case and the page on GeneNetwork.

I'm also posting four papers for review which I believe can really help to germinate specific, focussed ideas on how to home our Use Cases.

Another thing I did do - I've been having a lot of difficulty keeping track of who's who on the list and what projects they've been working on - I redid a bit of the main HCLSIG Wiki page, added a full participant's list, and linked it to their "Intro" posting from last winter.  Unfortunately - and I'm still a bit confused on this point - I wasn't certain which was the "official" base Wiki page - http://esw.w3.org/topic/SemanticWebForLifeSciences or http://esw.w3.org/topic/HCLSIG, so I put the link to the new list of participants in both places.

This may seem like a duplication of existing effort, but the big differences between this new list and the old list of "Intros" are:

          1) people's affiliations & projects (along with external links) are now all in one table on one page);

          2) Each individual is represented with an compliant WikiName, which links to the standard WikiName personal page at the Wiki root.  Now, when anyone's name appears using this WikiName anywhere in the HCLSIG Wiki, it will automagically link to their personal Wiki page - which links out to their "Intro", as well.  Though I'm not particularly enamored of the CamelCase WikiName style, when in Rome....  This is a major convenience  that can make it  much easier for all of us to stay clear about who is working on various aspects of the HCLSIG tasks and help us all to keep better in touch with our colleagues.

I'd strongly encourage everyone to review these pages - the main participant list and their new personal W3C SW HCLSIG Wiki page - to make certain:

          - it represents info the way they want it presented.  In particular, individuals roles and titles are included ad hoc, based on whether they were explicitly stated in their intro.  The same is true for affiliations and listed projects.  No one should take what is represented here as anything more than my best attempt to liberate as much info as I could from those original emails - with a little additional poking about the web - that might be of use to us all.  I only had so much time available to do this and didn't want to leave anyone off the list.

          - there are no typos people care about

          - if you find yourself editing a page on the Wiki, try to use the WikiName style.  The name will then automagically link to that person's HCLSIG WIki personal contact page.  Feel free to change existing names you find on the web pages to meet this standard as well.

Talk to you all a little later.

Cheers,

Bill
