Rachel -

Hoping to advance work on a demo, I have posted on the wiki my guess at the simplest reasonable requirements for a web service able to handle your stated use case(s).  Some requirements involve implied ontology efforts not yet discussed much here, so I filled in blanks on them from prior experience:

I hope you and others will review and critique this DRAFT spec, working first from a perspective of trying to evaluate its functional sufficiency.  By this I explicitly mean.. :
  • If a demo decisively satisfies every listed requirement, will it meet your goals?
  • If not, what core software requirements would you want to add or substitute?

We can refocus later on the necessity of various demo requirements, some of which might get simpler by omitting or deferring features.  Such choices get easier once the core demo goals are better known.  Use Case specs are nice, but debating Requirements is often a more productive way to expose them.

Cheers,
Dan Corwin

I apologize for the delay. Attached are the latest use-case write-ups based upon last week’s discussion. I appreciate the offer from Bo, Kerstin, and Vipul to generate feedback on this use case from their organizations.

If this is acceptable, then some discussion tomorrow should be devoted to selecting a protocol with the constructs/structure that we want to tackle for the demonstration.  I look forward to talking to everyone tomorrow.

Thanks,

Rachel
